google: android 16

The Google-funded Android 16 sculpture is a playful, interactive carousel inspired by Google’s Material 3 Expressive design language. During my time with the project, I was able to assemble the Android bot and weld the frame of its body. I worked with my team to help bend and shape the metal bars that transformed ordinary playground equipment into this imaginative new form. The piece, developed with ideas crowdsourced from the Android team and illustrated using Gemini AI, celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the evolving spirit of Android design.
