Pittsburg STEALERS
nfl superbowl draft
Bringing championship history to life at monumental scale, these six oversized Super Bowl rings were fabricated at Smash Designs for the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.
My contributions included hand carving, detail refinement, gem placement, and finishing work across all six rings. One of the most demanding aspects of the project was recreating the intricate engravings, logos, and dimensional details found on the original championship rings. Every surface required careful hand carving to maintain crisp edges and accurate proportions at a much larger scale.
I also developed my skills in metallic automotive finishing throughout the project, working to recreate the rich appearance of championship gold while preserving depth and realism within the sculpted details. To achieve the signature sparkle of the original rings, I spent countless hours using silicone piping techniques to individually place and secure gemstones throughout each piece. The combination of precision carving, detailed finishing, and meticulous stone placement made this one of the most technically challenging projects I contributed to at Smash Designs.
Installed as part of the NFL Draft fan experience, the completed rings quickly became a favorite photo destination for Steelers fans and a celebration of decades of championship history.
