Big Mouth Season Premiere

One of the most entertaining projects I worked on during my time at Smash Designs was helping bring The Hormone Monster from Netflix's Big Mouth into the physical world. Translating such an expressive and wildly exaggerated character from screen to sculpture was both a unique challenge and a lot of fun.

My contributions focused on sculpting and refining surface details throughout the piece, where I spent considerable time developing texture and character. The project became a great exercise in knife control, allowing me to sharpen my carving techniques while bringing out the creature's mischievous personality through subtle details and expression.

Few projects have made me laugh as much while working on them. Watching this larger-than-life character emerge from foam and sculpture materials was incredibly rewarding and remains one of the most memorable pieces I contributed to at Smash Designs.
