Yeti Sculpture

Bringing a larger-than-life Yeti to life required a combination of digital fabrication, metalworking, and traditional sculpting techniques. During my time at Smash Designs, I contributed to multiple stages of the build, making this one of the most hands-on and technically diverse projects I worked on.

My involvement began with assembling and refining the 3D-printed components used for the hands and feet, ensuring clean transitions between parts and preparing them for integration into the larger structure. I also welded the lower framework of the sculpture, helping establish the stance, balance, and overall posture of the character before the sculptural detailing began.

As the project progressed, I focused on developing the fur textures and surface details that gave the Yeti its personality and sense of movement. Combining digital assembly, structural fabrication, and hand sculpting within a single project made this an especially rewarding experience and a great example of the multidisciplinary work I was able to contribute to at Smash Designs.
